Abstract

This study aims to describe examining quizziz in learning grammar as an implementation of deep learning approach to improve student learning outcomes at SMKN 1 Mojokerto. The background of this research stems from the problem of low student motivation and understanding of English grammar due to conventional learning methods that are theoretical and less engaging. Through the integration of digital technology, Quizizz is expected to provide a more interactive, adaptive, and enjoyable learning experience. The deep learning approach used allows the system to analyze student learning patterns and provide automatic feedback that helps improve in-depth grammar understanding. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach, with 70 students of grades 10 and 10 of TSBM 2 at SMKN 1 Mojokerto as subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation in the form of pretest and posttest scores. Although this study was qualitative, the scores were used to corroborate the description of changes in student learning outcomes. Data analysis was conducted in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model. The results showed a significant improvement in learning outcomes after implementing Quizizz. The average pretest score of 74.3 increased to 85.9 in the posttest, with an average difference of approximately 11.6 points. In addition to cognitive improvements, changes in student behavior and motivation were also observed. Students became more active, enthusiastic, and able to learn independently through the feedback and leaderboard features provided by the application. Teachers also found the benefits of this medium in creating a more lively and participatory learning environment. Thus, implementing Quizizz based on the Deep Learning Approach has proven effective in improving grammar learning outcomes while building more meaningful learning engagement for students
