Call for Papers

Journal of Humanities and Sociocultural Studies (JHSS) is philosophically inspired by the intellectual legacy of Empu Prapanca, symbolizing the integration of diverse perspectives into a coherent understanding of human society. This vision aligns with the journal’s mission to advance interdisciplinary research in the humanities and sociocultural studies by fostering critical dialogue across multiple fields of inquiry.

JHSS is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal that serves as a platform for high-quality scholarly contributions in interdisciplinary humanities and sociocultural studies. The journal welcomes rigorous manuscripts that offer significant theoretical, methodological, and empirical insights, addressing critical issues and contemporary challenges across interconnected disciplines such as social sciences, humanities, education, religion, language, literature, and cultural studies.

JHSS publishes original research articles, conceptual papers, and review articles that contribute meaningfully to the understanding of sociocultural dynamics and human values. Manuscripts are published in English to ensure broad academic accessibility and global scholarly exchange.

The journal is published biannually in January-Juni and July-December, with each issue featuring a carefully curated selection of scholarly articles. JHSS invites submissions from academics, researchers, educators, policymakers, and practitioners who are committed to advancing interdisciplinary perspectives and enriching discussions on human society and culture.
